Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Journeyman Lineman. Applicants should meet the following criteria to be considered.
Must be skilled and have at least five years experience framing and setting all distribution and transmission structures and associated work.
Must have hands-on experience with all related line equipment, transformers and associated service connections, hot sticking and rubber gloving of voltages ranging from 120 volts to 138 kV.
Must have ample knowledge of substations, regulators and other associated electrical equipment.
Must have good climbing skills and be safety conscious.
Be subject to call out 24 hours a day and must live in, or be willing to relocate to the JNEC service area.
Must have Class A CDL and current DOT physical card.
