Are you a strong System Operator but tired of the rotating shift work? You might be a great fit for our System Operations Specialist role, which provides support services to System Operations for the safe and reliable operation of AECI’s transmission system as an interconnected part of the bulk electric system. This role will design, develop, implement, deliver and maintain technical training programs for AECI’s electric system/grid operations employees. This position will be located at our Headquarters in Springfield, MO.
Provide quality and timely training to AECI System Operators.
Serve as subject matter expert to ensure compliance with applicable NERC standards.
Oversee the system architecture of documents, procedures and reports the department adopts and maintains.
Serve the role of System Operator as requested or needed.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent or demonstrate comparable knowledge and experience.
Possess RC NERC Certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire).
Possess a minimum 5 years progressively more responsible related experience with an electric utility, with at least one or more years additional experience in training, coaching, development of operating procedures and processes, and technical writing.
Ability to work at least one shift per quarter as needed for back-up.
Demonstrate solid understanding of Electrical Power System Generating and Transmission equipment.
