Responsible for a variety of employee relations functions including but not limited to, mediating and resolving workplace conflict, workplace investigations, administering Tri-State’s performance management program, delivering relevant training to supervisors and manager, providing labor relations support, and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal workplace related laws and regulations. This position is the first-point of contact for employees, supervisors and managers and provides leadership, advice, and coaching based on applicable local, state, and federal laws, collective bargaining agreements, the organization’s policies, programs, and procedures, and best practices. Oversees workers compensation, equal employment opportunity compliance and affirmative action planning, meeting Tri-State’s employment reporting requirements, and maintaining the organizations fitness for duty requirements.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to human resources and labor relations.

Eight (8) years progressive experience in human resources, employee relations, and/or labor relations, EEO, workplace investigations, performance management, including experience in administering and managing policies, programs and procedures, worker’s compensation, and affirmative action.
Requires considerable knowledge of the organization to identify and understand interrelationships among various procedures and controls between corporate functional areas.
Willingness to travel and work extended hours. (Possession of a valid driver's license or ability to obtain.)
Must be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform all of the essential functions of the position.
DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with workers’ compensation, DOT, and fitness for duty programs.
Experience working in Labor Relations.
Experience training supervisors and managers.
Experience conducting workplace investigations.
Designation as either a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
