Efficiently and effectively assist the management of Victoria Electric Cooperative (hereafter referred to as the “Cooperative”) and those utilities contracted with the Cooperative by researching, planning, developing, and implementing the programs and procedures necessary to meet the Cooperative’s compliance and safety needs. Provides for training on the aforementioned and maintains a safe work environment for the Cooperative employees employed by the Cooperative and the general public.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have ten years of verifiable field experience in the electrical utility industry. Experience at management level will be given favorable consideration.
Ability to recognize problems within the system overall and take initiative to problem solve and analyze information.
Must have or acquire working knowledge of The National Electric Safety Code and Rural Utilities Service (RUS) regulations and guidelines, and the regulations contained in the Cooperative safety manual (APPA).
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s license.
Must be certified in CPR and First Aid.
May be required to drive a cooperative vehicle.
