AECI is currently seeking applicants for a Combustion Turbine Specialist position in the Power Production Division. This position is located at the Holden facility, which is southeast of the Kansas City metro area and plays an integral role on the AECI Gas Team. This position is responsible for maintenance, operations and administrative functions of the simple cycle gas turbine power plant and auxiliary systems.
Operate and maintain gas turbine power plant on a 24-hour basis as required to support needs of AECI System Operations.
Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Distributed Control System (DCS).
Perform inspections and maintenance on Continuous Emissions Monitoring systems (CEMS).
Perform environmental compliance tasks, such as fugitive emissions readings, water and fuel samples, and spill prevention.
Provide safe working environment for site personnel and contractors. Implement lockout/tagout, confined space and safety orientation programs at site.
Oversee NERC operational requirements and record keeping.
Provide support for other AECI combustion turbine sites as needed.
Possess Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical field or demonstrate comparable experience.
Minimum of five years related experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of plant operations and maintenance, including instrument calibration and extensive trouble shooting.
Experience with Distributed Control Systems, such as T3000 and WDPF/OVATION preferred.
Ability to travel (30-40%) to other sites.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
