Directs and manages the personnel/activities of the Energy Management Solutions department. Serves as an innovator to create member resources, solutions and services from ideation to measurement and verification. Provides expertise and support related to all residential, commercial and industrial programming to offer education, resources and increase overall member satisfaction. Engages leaders and members in strategy to secure input and inform resource creation. Provides leadership for HE Strategic Priorities, goals and business planning processes to benefit member systems and ensure alignment with cooperative objectives/principles. Stays abreast of industry trends/technologies. Serves as a thought leader and contributor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads department staff and cross-functional teams to engage members, innovate around emerging technologies and create cutting edge member solutions.
Delivers continuous member value through user friendly resources, programs, support and services.
Drives exploration of opportunities that directly impact the utility industry, HE and member co-ops to stay ahead of trends.
Partners with senior management and co-op leaders to identify unique opportunities, assess potential issues and concerns.
Manages initiatives and HE resources to deliver emerging programs to achieve short and long term goals. Designs/administers innovative incentive programs to address emerging technologies including efficient electrification.
Innovates from inception to delivery. Drives/coordinates research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends. Employs out of the box thinking and program development including ideation, creation, launch and deployment. Utilizes measurement and verification to determine cost effectiveness.
Partners and coordinates with the HE Emerging Technologies Department and Standing Committee on Emerging Technology to share information/collaborate to develop and deliver innovative programs, resources and member services.
Administers member satisfaction surveys, program and service specific surveys and annual HE reports including the DSM report.
Develops related resources, impact reports, proposals and data to inform executive discussion and action.
Ensures adherence to HE Strategic Priorities. Provides leadership and support to cross-functional team efforts related to Member Focus and Emerging Technologies Strategic Initiatives.
Partners internally, with other G&T's, across co-op network and industry partners to stay abreast of trends impacting utilities.
Manages load control program (master control technology, protocol refinement). Directs member services and assistance.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or related field.
10 years’ minimum progressive management experience within the utility industry to include innovative leadership, program design, delivery, evaluation, budgeting, reporting and staff supervision.
Experience providing leadership and service to diverse member organizations strongly preferred.
Expertise in leading and providing knowledge to cross-functional teams both organizationally and with national industry partners preferred.
Experience in electric utility programming also desired.

Demonstrated expertise and leadership in emerging technologies, marketing and membership serving the utility industry.
Senior program and staff management skills to take charge, supervise/develop staff, track and advance competing priorities simultaneously in alignment with organizational and member goals.
Creative problem solver, decision maker and collaborator able to identify, assess, predict and react to solicit appropriate input and communicate transparently.
Skilled facilitator, consultative leader and strategic planner with extensive experience developing strategies, processes, systems & protocols to address HE and member requirements.
Ability to cross collaborate with individuals at all levels internally and externally while serving as a partner and team member.
Demonstrated level of professionalism, positive attitude and ability to motivate others.
Budgeting and portfolio management experience.
Knowledge of national emerging program and technology trends, resources and potential partners.
Established relationships with national partners and demonstrated leadership a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Innovator with experience developing/delivering cutting edge solutions to address member needs through emerging technologies and program models to promote best practices, share resources and expand organizational and member knowledge, resources and programming.
