Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS), located in Ellsworth, WI, seeks an Information Technology Manager to lead and manage IT programs at our electric distribution cooperative. PPCS serves 6,800 members in western Wisconsin. This is a senior level position requiring broad experience in systems administration, network management, administration of communication systems, and oversight of vendor managed products and services.

Essential Job Duties
Provide leadership in the development, planning, and implementation of new technology for use by employees and members.
Performs detailed analysis of needs and resources, plans and helps select effective software applications and hardware for the cooperative.
Point of contact for all software maintenance and ensures all systems have the latest patches and software updates installed.
Establishes, directs and conducts training programs for all users to ensure productive use of existing and new systems and software programs.
Performs research and improves proficiency in operation and adaptation of multiple software programs, applications, and hardware.
Ensures that all backup systems are working properly and tests systems regularly.
Responsible for administration of Windows Servers, iPads, firewalls, switches, and all equipment associated with the network infrastructure.
Performs all functions of network administrator for the Cooperative’s network infrastructure.
Responsible for cyber and physical security.
Establishes, directs and conducts training programs for all users on physical and cyber security.
Provides internal support to network users and troubleshoots problems related to the operations of PCs, servers, and iPads on the network.
Responsible for all communication needs including but not limited to internet and phone service, cell phones, AVL, AMI gateways, substation communications, and radio systems.
Provides input for operating and capital budgets for the above functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in information systems management, business or related field is preferred. Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
Prefer certifications in one of the following areas: Project Management Professional, CISSP or equivalent, Network Certifications (A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSE, etc.).
Knowledge of PC/LAN/WAN communication hardware/software including SonicWall firewalls/routers.
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server and Linux.
Experience with TCP/IP network protocols, NCS (Network Computing System), and network routing required.
Working knowledge of IP-based telephone systems is preferred.
Experience in installation, configuration, and management of Windows server and PC operating systems is required; Unix and Linux operating systems preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Office365.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
