As an electrical engineer you will be responsible for:
Providing engineering support to Power Marketing, System Operations, Transmission Engineering, and Transmission Planning with regards to revenue metering projects;
Coordinating the configuration management and change control for field electronic devices including meters and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs);
Coordinating the commissioning and technical verification of electrical substation SCADA systems, including Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) programming;
Maintaining current knowledge and adherence to North American Electric Reliability (NERC) cyber security requirements including the development of related procedures as needed.
Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic or related engineering discipline.
Knowledge of common computer software such as Microsoft Office, Project, etc. and ability to learn complex Oracle database software and specialized programs related to electric revenue meter and RTU configurations.
2-3 years' experience in a power transmission systems engineering-related area such as substation design, metering, system protection, operations, or power system planning.
Extensive knowledge of electrical and electronics principles as applied to meter engineering.
Extensive knowledge of 3-phase power systems and phasor analysis as they apply to system metering principles.
Ability to gain a working knowledge of and provide technical troubleshooting for the application of Wolverine's MDMS (Meter Data Management System).
