We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to provide senior-level analysis, planning and leadership for NOVEC's corporate budget, financial planning and forecasting, cash management and investments, financial system reporting and design, and corporate system implementation and upgrades.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead NOVEC's budgeting process from development to implementation including related procedures and systems. Provide technical support and guidance to the company, division and accounting units on budgetary issues.
Prepare application and documents necessary for financing activities. Evaluate funding requirements and investment of surplus funds. Operate cash flow model and reports. Advise management on short and long-range investment opportunities.
Develop, analyze and report short and long term forecasts including Cost of Service projections through the development and implementation of financial systems and models. Work with Accounting Manager and New Business Development to integrate NOVEC's Cost of Service forecast into the budgeting and reporting process.
Maintain effective external relationships with banking and investment institutions. Evaluate services offered and implement new banking related programs. Ensure NOVEC has the optimum service required.
Lead NOVEC's system implementation and upgrades for portions of Lawson's financial systems relating to reporting, ABM and budgeting models.
Assist SVP, Finance and Asset Development and Accounting Manager with financial analysis of proposed new business ventures and with problem solving analysis. Perform financial evaluation of business models by calculating payback period, performing breakeven analysis, and calculating NPV, PV and IRR.
Develop and maintain loan portfolios re-pricing and amortization schedules and summaries of principal and interest.
Work continually towards self-development to stay current on accounting, tax, budgeting, and financial procedures and practices.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five to seven years of related experience and/or training is required. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Experience directly related and progressively responsible for accounting and financial planning and budgeting at a corporate and or divisional level. Requires working knowledge and prior experience including the effective use of automated accounting tools including financial software, excel spreadsheets and databases.

Demonstrated knowledge of all company policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Demonstrated senior level financial systems skills, accounting theory knowledge and experience, problem solving skills, communication skills, and professional attitude.
Demonstrated ability to apply an understanding accounting principles, financial management, cash management, and statistical methods.
Proficiency with general computer operation, Microsoft Office applications and accounting systems.
Applies demonstrated senior level technical expertise and leadership within division to produce positive results through planning, communication, and administration of policies and programs.
Handles and maintains integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive human resource and management information records.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels within the organization.
Ability to anticipate and meet rapidly changing customer and business needs by quickly refocusing and realigning strategic and operational direction.
Demonstrated ability to think ahead and plan over a short and long-term focus.
Demonstrated project management experience in planning, executing, and maintaining a project from start to finish. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and complete accurately and timely, while managing to multiple and at times conflicting deadlines.
