United Cooperative Services has an open position for Internet Subscriber Installation Coordinator in our Cleburne office.

The Internet Subscriber Installation Coordinator will oversee technicians representing United every day to our customers by extending fiber and fixed wireless to homes and businesses, entering member/subscriber homes to install network interface devices (NIDs) and residential unit/commercial unit Optical Network Terminals (ONT) with internet, telephone interfaces, supporting internet and voice services.
In addition, the candidate is well-versed in taking an analytical approach, providing data that will be used to inform on issues that impact members service offering.
Working with the fiber and internet services team, the Internet Subscriber Installation Coordinator is responsible for the most positive member/subscriber experience by ensuring that all member installations are scheduled in a timely manner and that all workmanship is performed at high level, and that member/subscriber satisfaction remains at a high level.
Makes customer drop installations (exterior and interior) complete from tap to terminals on customer equipment in both single and multiple unit dwellings, including pre-wired units.
Performs new connects, reconnects, requested and non-pay disconnects; adds outlets; installs and/or removes converters; performs upgrades and downgrades of service.
Reads signal levels through use of field strength meter; adds and subtracts levels in installation problems; installs connectors on different types of drop cable; maintains proper clearances; installs tap-off devices.
Works with connectors, fasteners and wire and uses hand tools.
Uses customary CATV hand and power tools in performance of job duties.
Ensures the work order and service order process is efficient and represents the highest level of service and value.
Performs clean-up of areas impacted during installation
Develops and delivers appropriate ad-hoc training for market, including new services and technology.
Acts as a technical mentor and provide support and thought leadership within the Technical Support team
Adheres to United safety policies and procedures and offer recommendations to their supervisor to enhance the cooperative’s safety culture.

Job Knowledge, Training and Experience: Preference for a bachelor’s degree in Technical field, or at least 3 years of related experience in the field. Also requires 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role, working with 3rd party installation vendors.
Equipment Operated: Must be able to operate personal computers and related software. Must be able to use office equipment and telecommunications equipment. Must have a current Texas driver’s license without violations that would prohibit insurability.
Abilities and Skills: Experience with directing the activities of multiple Fiber To The Home (FTTH) and fixed wireless team members or telecommunications management, telecom or data wiring. FTTH and fixed wireless networks, both aerial and underground is highly preferred. The ability to assess different installation scenarios, and effectively determine required time, approach and equipment, will be required. Lifts and carries loads up to 75lbs (including ladders).
Physical Effort: Must be able to perform all activities listed in the job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions: Requires working indoors and outdoors with some irregular hours. Some travel is required inside and outside the cooperative service area.
