I. PURPOSE A. To provide maximum service to the members and cooperative by efficiently performing work in connection with the clearing and re-clearing of rights of way. II. RELATIONSHIPS A. Reports to Right-Of-Way Crew Leader B. Directs – none C. Cooperates or coordinates with all persons both within and outside the cooperative as deemed necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position. III. RESPONSIBILITES AND AUTHORITIES A. Safely performs the clearing or re-clearing of rights of way and trimming of trees. B. Cooperates with the land owners as required to maintain good public and member relations. C. Properly uses and maintains right-of-way clearing tools and equipment, including but not limited to hand cutting tools, power saws, chain saws, and various vegetation management equipment. D. Climbs trees for trimming along hot lines and also removes ground brush. E. Sees that any vehicles, tools, equipment, and supplies assigned are properly used and kept in good condition. F. Uses safety equipment as needed and practices safe working habits. G. Complies with, while operating any vehicle, all traffic laws, safety rules and regulations, and safe practices. Should at all times look out for the safety of the vehicle, its occupants, and load. H. Observes and inspects lines and poles for hazardous conditions or other conditions that might cause a power failure. Collects inspection data and reports to the supervisor. I.
