Exhibiting stewardship for the cooperative, the Marketing and Communications Specialist develops and executes the messaging and design for communication plans across the platforms of written and digital publications, web and social media. The Marketing and Communications Specialist maintains the image of the organization through the implementation of creative solutions to support department and cooperative-wide initiatives.

The duties and responsibilities described below are the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be all inclusive for this position.
Ensures Central brand standards and consistency across communications platforms
Works with communications staff to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies including direct mail, email, web and social media communications.
Completes projects on time for cooperative and subsidiaries in a collaborative environment, writing copy for publications, designing marketing pieces, creating presentations, ordering promotional items and setting up booths for community festivals.
Responsible for helping plan and organize member meetings, community engagement activities and youth programs.
Develops and implements the social media plan, creating and scheduling regular posts, as well as covering live events.
Assists with website development and content creation, keeping it fresh and easy to navigate.
Reports to the Director of Communications
Decisions and duties are monitored and reviewed that have a distinct impact on the organization. Work requires a high degree of responsibility for information, technology and/or equipment.
Position has no formal supervisory responsibility for the work of others.

Specific requirements and competencies include:
Solid Educational Background – Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field required; At least 5 years of relative work experience which may include public relations, coordinating social media and developing and implementing marketing and communications plans is preferred.
Technical and journalistic writing skills are required.
Experience with the design and production of print materials and publications is required.
Strong oral and written communications skills are required.
Computer literacy in Adobe Creative suite is required and proficiency with MAC operating system is preferred.
Photography, videography and video editing skills are preferred.
Must have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
