East River Electric Power Cooperative is looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to support the Cooperative's utility design and construction functions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in using a computer-aided design system to prepare electric system drawings and other technical documents.
This job opportunity is located at our main campus in Madison, South Dakota. Madison boasts a family-friendly, small town atmosphere with a wealth of modern amenities including the new Madison Regional Hospital, the high-tech campus of Dakota State University, a thriving community center and more. Key responsibilities include:
Prepare and update electric system drawings, maps, specifications, plans, schematics and diagrams.
Utilize and integrate GIS applications for use in development of standards and project planning.
Assist with developing materials specifications and procurement.
Collaborate with others to ensure all documentation is accurate and managed according to applicable rules and standards.

Proven drafting ability with at least five years design experience.
