SSVEC is currently seeking highly motivated, attention to detail Journeymen Linemen to join our team of dedicated professionals.
The successful individuals will perform climbing and non?climbing tasks necessary in the construction and operation of overhead and underground electric facilities. These positions involve manual labor such as shoveling, digging trenches, setting poles and back filling, tamping with equipment, etc. The successful candidates will safely perform technical work involving performance of all tasks associated with construction, maintenance, and operation of SSVEC's electrical system by performing all line work involved in the day?to?day operation of SSVEC's electric system including overhead and underground distribution, distribution substation, sub transmission, and sub?transmission switching yards including operation, switching and construction.
Educational requirements are high school graduate or equivalent, successful completion of a Line worker Apprenticeship program. If hired, you must be able to obtain or possess a valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s license.
