The Business Analyst will provide operational support and intelligence for the Utility Sales and Services Division by developing and maintaining comprehensive business reports covering the areas of Utility Sales, Construction, ROW, and High-Voltage Test Center. Reports will include, but not limited to, gross and net productivity, market share, market forecasts, efficiency, and trend analysis. Also, represents AECI Utility Sales & Services by promoting a positive image, presentation of and selling of products, product lines and services. Accurately develop and process critical reports and communicate such reports to the Manager of Business Operations and USSD Management.
Produce reports used for strategic planning and assist in the analysis of these reports to determine appropriate sales, marketing and expenditure goals. Maintain current data for reports and dashboard applications.
Prepare operational analysis reports highlighting variances and performance drivers.
Compare current statistics to historical data to validate accuracy and market position.
Assist with Construction and ROW software applications. Prepare forms for data collection and assist in the analysis of data and reports.
Conduct market research to evaluate products and services trends and help drive sales efforts in an efficient direction.
Maintain documentation of current and future processes. Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
Acts as Secretary for USSD Safety Committee, scheduling meetings, taking notes, and keeping minutes
Match transformer, and other material, order acknowledgements to AECI purchase orders
Assist with records management for division including filing contracts related to Sales
Input invoices into the AECI workflow system for payment
Assist Field Representatives with preparation of monthly expense reports
The ability to meet deadlines, handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
Bachelor’s degree Business Administration or similar related field. Additional education or experience is preferred.
Expert knowledge in Excel.
Analytical skills and be detail oriented.
Minimum Experience Required
Analyst II: Minimum 2 years of related experience required
Analyst III: Minimum 4 years of related experience required
Minimum 3 years of work-related experience.
