Director of Operation

Steuben County REMC is accepting applications for the Director of Operations. This leadership position will report directly to the CEO and oversee all functions and activities of the Operation and Engineering Department. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the department’s budget and capital programs; metering, GIS mapping and provide guidance for implementing new and improved technologies. This position will also oversee construction, maintenance, vegetation management, reliability improvements and the Cooperative’s inspection programs while training and coaching the department’s personnel in an effective and safe manor.

Interested candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field and have at least 5 years of supervisory experience within an electric utility operational department.
