Farmers Electric Cooperative is currently seeking a full-time Compliance and Safety Supervisor. This position is responsible for managing and directing the compliance and safety programs of the Cooperative. The Compliance and Safety Supervisor will develop, implement, and monitor all policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for employees; will ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state legislation and codes governing the electric distribution industry; and possesses substantial knowledge and experience related to property and casualty insurance coverage. We are looking for a professional with good communication skills and electric distribution knowledge who will lead a successful enterprise-wide compliance and safety program. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 10+ years of experience is required, with supervisory experience desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a certification as a loss control professional.
The Compliance and Safety Supervisor position earns a competitive salary based on experience. We also offer paid training, health insurance, generous paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, a retirement pension plan, a 401(k) plan, and remote work opportunities. This position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM but applicants must be able to work outside normal business hours as needed and travel less than 10% of the time.
