Orange County Fiber, located in Orleans, Indiana is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill our Fiber Technician opening. We are an ever-growing Fiber ISP and WISP expanding our territory at a rapid pace. This role will be involved with installation, maintenance, and service calls as we extend our services to the surrounding areas.
Job duties will include maintenance and installation of internet products and services. This individual will be responsible for routing structured cabling to and from mounting points on the outside of residential and commercial buildings. Candidates should be able to confidently drill into these types of structures to mount equipment and deliver quality customer service. Driving to and from service calls and appointments will be required. This is a physically demanding position as installation requires lifting of equipment and gear both at ground level and at height. Expect to use crawl spaces and attics to route cabling in residential and commercial buildings daily.

This candidate should find themselves familiar with:
General knowledge of building construction principles
Structured cabling, Cat5/6, Fiber
Fiber optic types; SM, MM, SC, LC, APC, UPC
Basic computer skills
Microsoft Office products/Mac OS products
Industry recognized certifications are a plus. Relevant experience is preferred. Travel within our service territory will be daily.
