ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED): -
The Business Development Account Executive is a full-cycle revenue-generating sales position responsible for closing new client relationships for Pivot (The Hunter Role), as well as closing new and existing revenue opportunities with current and past clients at Pivot (The Farming Role). -
In the Hunter Role, you will focus on developing relationships with new prospects and closing new business from the telecom/broadband and utility industries. -
In the Farmer role, you will identify, manage, and close sales opportunities with existing clients. Job Duties/Competencies: - Achieve or exceed the positions’ quarterly and annual revenue quota using both consultative and relational selling skills.
- Prepare daily/weekly/quarterly and annual action plans to achieve and exceed annual targets.
- Deliver presentations, proposals, and price quotes to qualified prospects and clients.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work industry-based tradeshows and events, including tradeshow booth participation.
- Work collaboratively with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure proper client offerings.
- Adhere to the Pivot Sales Process and to Pivot’s Customer Experience responsibilities.
- Embody Pivot’s Core Value Statement, practices, and standards.
- Work independently without constant direction or direct supervision.
- Track and monitor all activities and opportunities within the Pivot HubSpot CRM System.
Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, or equivalent experience. Language/Communication Skills Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Computer Skills Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience working within a CRM, preferably HubSpot. Other Skills & Abilities - Proven track record at developing and closing sales leads, preferably in the telecom and/or electric utility industries.
- Experience in selling professional services is preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform in a high paced work environment.
- Demonstrate persistence and the ability to overcome obstacles.
- Ability to make professional sales presentations to C-Level Executives and groups of all sizes.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients.
