Director of Business Development will increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies. The responsibilities of the Director of Business Development include recommending ways to improve operations planning, tracking projects in Load Growth software, working with internal groups to develop cost estimates, understanding client’s needs, and notifying partners of key business developments. Ability to assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data. Strong project management skills to organize projects and meet critical deadlines and strong negotiation skills to communicate with both internal and external groups.
Essential Job Functions:
Building solid relationships with developers and member-owners as well as sales and marketing teams.
Working with internal groups including but not limited to engineering, staking, operations to develop cost estimates for clients on projects.
Keeping Senior Staff and the board informed on current projects and future business growth.
Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
Collaborating with Senior Staff and Enterprise on developing analytics to track costs (estimates and actuals), revenue, load growth by feeder, load growth timeline, and other analytics as needed.
Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
Presenting business or marketing opportunities to Senior Staff and management.
Formulating and implementing an account management plan to ensure that business relations are properly maintained.
Directing marketing efforts by presenting market research to Senior Staff and suggesting strategies to expand market research.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree or Project Management License is preferred.
Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
