Assistant Chief Financial Officer - Sioux Valley Energy, Colman SD Sioux Valley Energy is seeking an Assistant Chief Financial Officer to join our team. This position reports to the CFO. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and directing the activities of the Finance and Accounting Department for the electric cooperative. This position is intended to transition into a CFO role and assume those responsibilities as part of the Cooperative’s succession plan. No definite timeline has been set for that transition and would also depend on the performance within this position. Candidate must have a thorough working knowledge of accounting principles, financial and cash management, capital planning and investment, budgeting and forecasting, insurance and risk management, as well as strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or comparable field with emphasis on accounting is required. Candidate will have a minimum of eight years experience in a financial and accounting position, preferably with a consumer-owned or publicly-held utility system.
