As a member of the Systems Engineering Developer Team you can look forward to working with a small experienced team where “no two days are alike”. The Systems Engineering Team’s primary responsibility is the secure bundling and distribution, deployment, configuration, preservation and state control of NISC’s ever evolving product offerings. Additionally, we assist our customer base in a collaborative environment to identify, design and provide solutions.

Develop, maintain and support UI and underlying processes used for the system administration of NISC's applications entire life cycle including CI / CD workflows.
Assist in performing installation, configuration, task upgrades, hardware troubleshooting, and performance analysis in support NISC applications.
Provide superior customer support to internal and external customers.
Support customers in all aspects of troubleshooting, training, and ongoing support.
Utilize all support tools as directed.
Create change requests (CRs) and follow up on resolution.
Perform research of general technical problems, resolve issues for Members, and verify changes or enhancements.
Participate in the staging, installation, configuration, and training for NISC equipment.
Serve as the primary support for the system administration of all NISC supported servers.
Participate in developing and delivering training.
My assist with the Member Information Conference and other internal Technical Services Initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Linux - CLI, bash, shell scripting, file archiving, cross-server secure communication and transfer protocols
AppServer technologies - Tomcat and WildFly
Oracle, Postgres and others
Web IDE - Visual Studio Code, Sublime, IntelliJ
Version Control Systems and Continuous Integration - Git, Stash, Subversion, Jenkins
Software bundling/deployment technologies (e.g. RPM and Docker)
Cloud CI/CD workflows a plus
JSON and XML structures
Metric collection, Active Monitoring technologies respectively relating to business intelligence and server/application performance monitoring.
Moderate knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Moderate knowledge in the setup and support of desktop operating systems and software

Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience.
