QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of work experience operating light equipment and transporting loads. Must be knowledgeable of state bridge laws, load limits, other applicable laws and capable of supplying information to obtain oversize permits and registrations in all states traveled. Must have a working knowledge of rigging techniques to ensure proper securing of large or heavy loads. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with other employees. Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Ability to learn to use a personal computer to access the intranet, departmental software, and Microsoft Office software as required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must maintain a current State of Oklahoma Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and be a qualified driver per the rules and regulations of the D.O.T. requirements. This job also requires a crane certification and Oklahoma Pesticide Applicators Certification which must be received within one year (1) of employment. WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: This job requires 80% overnight travel. Incumbent must live within a thirty-mile radius of specified base work location. Incumbent must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays and travel on short notice.
