This position dispatches after hours work crews, equipment, or service vehicles in response to consumer requests concerning power outages, member service issues, and dispatching and handling line crews; and provides telephone coverage during business and non-business hours for Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC) and its member systems located across nine states. There is opportunity with these positions to work up to 40 hours per week.

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have strong customer service, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to assist callers in a professional manner at a level acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and two years of office and/or customer service experience. This position works 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and days on a rotating basis, and on an on-call scheduled basis. Overtime may be required, as needed. Experience with personal computers in a Windows environment and with Microsoft Word and Outlook is required. The incumbent must possess or be capable of obtaining a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
