High Plains Power is a distribution cooperative seeking an individual for the Chief Operating Officer position in our Riverton, Wyoming district office. Known as the Rendezvous City, Riverton is home to the 1838 Mountain Man Rendezvous, Hot Air Balloon Rally, mountain biking, rock climbing, rodeos, powwows, Native American dancing, historic trails, state parks, dude ranches, wildlife, museums, scenic by-ways, and spectacular scenery. The Chief Operating Officer performs management functions of organizing, directing, budgeting, coordinating, and controlling the operations activities in accordance with established policies, plans and objectives of High Plains Power, ensuring that the member/owners have reliable service. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or other related field or equivalent combination of education and job experience; 5 years of experience in an electric membership cooperative or electric utility is preferred and a Valid Class A CDL with excellent driving record required.
