We currently have an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst in our budget, rates, and financial analysis department.The successful candidate will lead the monthly member billing process. The candidate will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of GRE’s annual and long-range cost of service models. The candidate will be responsible for GRE’s short-term member billing load forecasts and assist in the annual corporate budget process.
Leads the implementation of the member contract language and rate design methodology into GRE’s billing applications.
Acts as a key financial liaison for member cooperatives for questions relating to financial or technical matters.
Develops and implements complex models by gathering data and establishing processes used in various rate analysis scenarios. Must be able to communicate detailed analysis results through oral presentations and written reports both internally and externally.
Leads the design, development and implementation of custom complex models using custom designed software and desktop tools. Must possess both project management and business analytics skills.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
MBA or CPA preferred
Ten years or more senior level experience required
Knowledge of electric utility industry and wholesale utility rate design preferred
Project management, data and business analytics preferred
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Data analytics tools
Experience with enterprise accounting systems, Infor/Lawson accounting software is a plus.
