The Safety Coordinator will plan, direct, and coordinate the safety program for all Cooperative employees as to assure, maintain and promote safe working conditions to maintain the safety for all employees, members and the general public.
Minimum of 5 years experience in construction and maintenance of electric distribution lines. Knowledge in safety rules and regulations, National Electric Safety Code, federal and state regulations, Cooperative policies and service rules and regulations. Certified First Aid and CPR instructor, or willing to obtain certification. Knowledge of accident investigation. Plan and conduct safety meetings and safety-related training programs for employees, members and the general public. Job site visits, safety inspections, PPE knowledge, OSHA knowledge, interpretation of safety regulations, laws and codes to maintain compliance.
