BARC Electric Cooperative seeks a highly qualified applicant to fill the position of Executive Assistant to the CEO. BARC is a diverse and fast-paced cooperative providing electric, Internet and solar services in the western part of Virginia. Major duties and responsibilities include:
Manages information flow to/from the CEO in a timely and accurate manner. Serves as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders.
Works closely with the CEO to keep him/her well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Anticipates the CEO’s needs in advance of meetings, conferences, and other duties.
Prepares and sends calendar invitations, memos, emails, and other correspondences.
Drafts letters, simple agreements, presentations, and other reports.
Screens and directs phone calls to/from the CEO.
Organizes and maintains filing and data storage systems.
Provides sophisticated calendar management for the CEO, prioritizing appointments, troubleshooting conflicts, schedules meetings and phone calls, and takes meeting minutes as requested.
Arranges travel and accommodation arrangements.
Provides support to the board of directors as requested. Handles logistical support for board meetings and events, drafts agendas, composes and prepares correspondences, makes travel arrangements and completes expense and mileage reports.
Provides event management assistance and support to others at BARC, as requested by the CEO.
Fills in to answer office phone calls and assist other departments as requested by the CEO.
