AECI is seeking applicants for a Senior Plant Manager at the New Madrid Power Plant. This position has overall leadership responsibility for plant functions including the operations team, coal yard, maintenance departments (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation), maintenance planning, results/laboratory, training, administration and warehouse.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Vice President of Power Production/Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Plant Manager achieves continuous improvements in the areas of safety, employee training, energy production and plant availability through both short and long-range planning. The Senior Plant Manager will help shape, align, and execute the organization’s mission, vision and strategic objectives for success as the operational level; and guides operational managers by coaching, mentoring and building relationships. This leadership role will work with employees and leaders at other AECI locations, including the Thomas Hill Energy Center and Headquarters location in Springfield, Missouri, to foster partnerships across the organization, support projects and champion initiatives. This position will have primary oversight of the plant’s annual capital, operating and maintenance budgets. Travel requirements are expected to be approximately 25%.
