At East Central Energy, our Operations Manager serves members by overseeing and managing the construction, maintenance and planning of the Cooperative's electrical distribution system. They provide professional management to staff with overall responsibility for all construction and maintenance employees.
We are currently looking to fill the position of Operations Manager. This position is located in Braham, MN, and works under the direction of theVP/COO.
The ideal candidate will coordinatewith VP/COO to develop and maintain a department vision,?strategy?and roadmap. They will also lead the department and its business partners in effective execution.?
The Operations Manager ensures the culture set forth by ECE’s executive team is communicated and successfully executed with accountability in the Operations Department.?
TheOperations Manageris also to carry out safety responsibilitiesby keeping employees informed on safety as it relates to their positions and take prompt action to correct unsafe actions or behaviors.?
Experience and Education:Two-year associates degree, plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the areas of transmission and distribution construction, human relations, and supervision; or a combination of education providing equivalent knowledge.
Interpersonal Skills: A self-motivated individual in this position will lead and inspire others by building a positive work environment. A successful individual will alsoclearly set challenging yet attainable expectations that are aligned with those of the organization.
Technical Skills: Qualified candidates understands transmission and distribution and RUS specifications as it relates to electrical distribution construction.They also possess a strong technical ability for spreadsheet programs and other computer related software and office equipment to monitor system load and construction information.
Work Environment: Safe working practices must always be understood and utilized. The individual will work in an office and field environment. Employees may be required to work in a stressful environment while dealing with customers, employees, and the public. Must be able to remain calm and professional when dealing with potential conflicts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
This position requires a pre-employment physical and substance testing and may be subject to random testing following the cooperative's substance policy.
