The Business Analyst I – III in Utility Services will develop, implement, maintain, and analyze comprehensive business and reporting platform covering the areas of Utility Services, Construction and Right of Way (ROW). Reports will include, but not be limited to, gross and net profit, market share, forecasts, efficiency, productivity, and trend analysis. Position will also assist with analysis of compliance, purchasing and billing.
Accurately develop and process critical reports and communicate such reports to the Director - Utility Services and department managers.
Produce reports used for strategic planning and assist in the analysis of these reports to determine appropriate sales, marketing, production, and expenditure goals. Maintain current data for reports and dashboard applications.
Prepare operational analysis reports highlighting variances and performance drivers.
Compare current statistics to historical data to validate accuracy and market position.
Maintains Construction and ROW software applications. Prepare forms for data collection and assist in the analysis of data and reports.
Conduct market research to evaluate trends and help drive sales efforts in an efficient direction.
Identifies opportunities to improve processes, resolves issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Assists managers with preparing quotes, rate design, tracking production, reviewing status on projects.
Assists department administrative personnel with the preparation of reports and records for the purpose of billing customers for services rendered.
Assist with compliance relating to record keeping (fleet, contracts/documentation, training, etc.)
Handles stress effectively and works well with others.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, SharePoint, etc.)
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, and management.
Proactive, flexible, independent, detail oriented, and a problem solver.
Valid Driver’s License.
Minimum Experience Required
Analyst II: At least 2 years of related experience
Analyst III: At least 4 years of related experience
