AECI is currently seeking applicants for a Combustion Turbine Specialist position in the Power Production Division. This position is located at our Essex facility in southeast Missouri, which is thirty-five minutes from Poplar Bluff and the nearby Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The Essex facility plays an integral role in the AECI Gas Team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, operations, and administrative functions of the simple cycle gas turbine power plant and auxiliary systems.
Operate & maintain a gas turbine power plant on a 24-hour basis as required to support needs of AECI System Operations.
Troubleshoot & perform maintenance on Distributed Control System (DCS).
Perform inspections & maintenance on Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
Perform environmental compliance tasks, such as fugitive emissions readings, water and fuel samples and spill prevention.
Provide a safe working environment for site personnel and contractors. Implement lockout/Tagout, confined space, and safety orientation programs at the site.
Oversee NERC operational requirements and record keeping.
Provide support for other AECI combustion turbine sites as needed.
Possess Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in the electrical or mechanical field or demonstrate comparable experience.
Minimum of five years of related experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of plant operations and maintenance, including instrument calibration and extensive troubleshooting.
Experience with Distributed Control Systems, such as T3000 and WDPF/OVATION preferred.
Ability to travel (20-25%) to other sites.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
