We are currently seeking applicants for an Electrical Engineer - Reliability Compliance in our Power Production division located in Springfield, Missouri. This position will ensure that AECI Power Production division is in compliance with applicable NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) Reliability Standards related to the division’s equipment and activities. This position is also responsible for interpreting the requirements of the applicable standards and the timely coordination and/or implementation of the activities required to achieve and maintain compliance. A few primary duties will include coordinating field testing of the generator protection system components, maintaining documentation, functional administration of the PRC-005 tracking database and using technical knowledge to perform event investigations. This person will also be the primary resource for ensuring accurate technical and modeling data is provided for AECI generating equipment and will stay knowledgeable of NERC Standards related to generator owners and operators. This position will require about 25% travel.
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrate comparable experience. All levels of experience will be considered with a preference for candidates with at least five years related experience. Experience in the utility industry is strongly desired. NERC experience is preferred. Knowledge of electrical engineering related to industrial power equipment, and specifically power generation equipment is required; field experience in a power generation environment is preferred.
