Enjoy the benefits of the cooperative way at Lane Electric while serving our roughly 13,000 electric accounts. The Seven Cooperative Principals guide the way we work every day. Our primary aim is to deliver excellent service to our members and to positively contribute to their quality of life.
Established in 1939 by a group of neighbors in the McKenzie River valley, Lane Electric and its 46 employees are still actively engaged in the communities we serve. We support youth sports, literacy programs, health and nutrition initiatives, Veteran’s groups, holiday parades and the area’s many cultural events and festivals.
Lane County extends from the Pacific Ocean to the Cascade Range, with a relatively mild climate but four distinct seasons. Ocean coastlines, forests, and snow-?peaked mountains provide diverse opportunities for year-round recreational and cultural opportunities. The area is serviced by the Eugene Airport, the fifth largest airport in the Pacific Northwest, which provides easy access in and out of the area.
Lane Electric Cooperative serves multiple rural communities outside of the Eugene metropolitan area. Our headquarters however, located with-in Eugene city li...mits. Eugene is Oregon’s third largest city. The wood products industry, a “Silicon Shire” tech industry, agriculture and the University of Oregon are primary economic drivers to the area.
The Lane County Farmer’s Market and a thriving food, microbrewery, and winery culture provide great dining and recreational experiences. Extensive biking, walking, and hiking trails weave throughout the city of Eugene and Lane County. The U of O’s Museum of Natural and Cultural History, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the Hult Center for the Performing Arts provide cultural hubs.
The area and this co-op are moving in a positive direction and now is a great time to become part of the Lane Electric team and legacy.
Power our rural communities through exceptional service and sustainable energy sources.
