Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently searching for a Supervisor, Gas Plant Operations for our gas fleet, which includes combined cycle and simple cycle plants. The primary responsibilities will include directing the activities of the Operations & Maintenance Specialists, managing contracts for the AECI gas fleet, and overseeing simultaneous projects from conception through execution. This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Gas Plant Operations.
Manage the outage planning, long-range maintenance plans and O&M budgets
Provide tactical planning along with coordinating resources from other AECI departments and divisions
Help to shape, align and execute the organization’s mission, vision and strategic objectives for stakeholder success
Coordinate all O&M activities for planning, organizing and directing gas facility activities
Approximate travel estimated at 25-33%
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or five years of experience with combustion turbines, including prior lead or supervisory experience
Solid understanding of combustion turbine operations theory, electrical and mechanical equipment, instrumentation and control systems, rotating equipment and predictive maintenance technologies
Excellent communication, problem-solving and project management skills
