Under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, this position is responsible for the administration and coordination of various functions across the department including new employee onboarding, policy and procedure maintenance, and employee development. Duties also include assistance with performance reviews and record management. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Human Resources Director.
Essential Job Functions:
New Employee Onboarding:
Responsible for the successful onboarding experience for new employees, including initial communication, instructions, and documentation
Administration of the electronic onboarding process within the HRIS, including pre-employment background checks along with drug and alcohol testing
Coordinate schedules and materials for new hire orientation
Assistance with new hire roundtable
Policies and Procedures:
Review and modification of existing policies and procedures
Research and draft new policies, as needed
Assist with drafts and revisions of standard operating procedures across departments
Format and assign numbered drafts in preparation for executive or Board review
Record and publish approved policies and procedures
Coordinate annual audit of policy and procedural documents to ensure content remains current
Employee Development:
Administration of learning portals including maintenance of user access, records, and training content
Create and schedule training sessions to support requests for internal learning (online learning, videos, team buildings, etc.).
Implement learning programs for new hires, supervisors, annual compliance training, and other programs, as identified
Assists with administration of Tuition Assistance Program ensuring grades and reimbursements are received, recorded, and filed with the agreement
Performance Reviews
Administration of 90-day reviews
Setup and administration of annual review cycle
Annual maintenance of employee records within review system
Department Record Management:
File room management
Department mail distribution
HRIS data entry
Maintain electronic and physical employee records
I-9 management and annual audit
Org Chart Management
Additional responsibilities:
Maintain HR Intranet page with the latest news and information across the department
Assist with the return-to-work process
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
Relationships
Reports to Director of Human Resources
Works closely with employees across the co-op
Interacts with outside vendors on occasion
