The VMI Warehouse Manager maintains the organization’s existing VMI account and oversees multiple VMI warehouses and ensures inventories are stocked at proper levels..
Responsibilities
Manages VMI account and operates as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to the VMI; maintains strong customer relationship.
Cooperate and coordinate with all personnel within the organization to achieve a smooth and successful operation.
Responsible for safe and efficient use of assigned vehicle including maintenance.
Oversees and assists in ensuring that inventory material is stocked at proper levels to ensure material is available for the customer.
Makes recommendations and helps to enforce safety procedures are observed in the following areas: vehicle/fork lift operation, placement/stocking of inventory items, proper use of tools/equipment and policing of hazardous items.
Assures proper maintenance and training for all fork lifts, trucks and equipment and the scheduling of regular maintenance. Inspects all equipment regularly to check for visible signs of anything that is need of repair.
Supervises multiple VMI warehouses, oversees and assists in pulling work orders for VMI line crews and maintains and scans all paperwork for the VMI operation; also directs the investigation of discrepancy problems in inventory counts.
Coordinates with VMI operations and engineering department to ensure that all inventory needs are met.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Handles stress effectively and works well with others
Minimum Qualifications
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.
Valid Driver’s License.
2 years related experience and/or training.
Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/AECI standards and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of management and/or supervisory experience.
