Electric distribution utility has an opening for Vice President, Information Technology. This position manages the Information Technology function supporting the business operations, mission and goals of the Cooperative.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and controlling all of MCEC’s electronic functions, including systems and programming, computer operations, phone operations, and related vendor relationships. Establishes, implements, and administers IT divisional policies and procedures. Acts as senior manager over all hardware, software, and equipment purchases and maintenance. Responsible for future technological innovations and the development and implementation of MCEC’s IT strategic plan, mission and goals. Responsible for system security, cybersecurity, disaster recovery planning and mitigation strategies. Continually monitors technical and processing priorities and methods.
QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. MBA or advanced degree in related field preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
General knowledge of MCEC’s computer environment:
Oracle environment; Unix/Linux, DOS/Windows Operating Systems and TCP/IP network systems
Proven ability to direct and motivate technical staff with a team-based orientation and create positive relationships both internally and externally
Proven ability to solve business problems and improve processes through implementation of technological solutions.

General residency requirement within 10 miles of the utility system
SC driver’s license with no more than 4 points

Seven to ten years of experience in application lifecycle management required
Seven to ten years of experience as Project Manager, business analyst or product development experience within the IT sector required
Five plus years of vendor and contract management experience required
