This full-time position will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Kodiak Electric Association's GE 1.5 MW wind turbines, Flywheel energy storage system (FESS), Battery energy storage system (BESS), Diesel electric generators and perform general power plant and facility maintenance. Kodiak Electric Association (KEA) is a progressive and innovative stand-alone generation, transmission, and distribution electric cooperative located on spectacular Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska, 252 air miles southwest of Anchorage, serving approximately 6,000 meters with 388 miles of line.  The cooperative is recognized as an industry leader in implementing sustainable, renewable energy solutions with environmental stewardship, and in 2021, our renewable portfolio of hydro and wind generated 99.4
