South Texas Electric Cooperative, Inc. currently has a position open for a Compliance Coordinator at the Nursery location. The Compliance coordinator provides guidance to department experts in meeting all NERC, FERC, TRE, PUCT and ERCOT compliance measures. Works in teams and participates in developing and revising reliability standards. Develops and assists with the training needs of employees and members and explaining compliance issues. Implements projects by developing schedules and plans for all compliance monitoring and enforcement engagements. Conducts reviews, audits, and checks on specific standards, developing reports to compliance efforts and investigates any incidences. This position reports to the Manager of Corporate & Member Services.

May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays
Typical duties include:
Attends compliance-related trainings and meetings
Participates in reliability standards development and revision, including participation in TRE and ERCOT working groups, committees, and NERC/TRE standard development teams as necessary.
Represents the Cooperative at TRE, ERCOT, NERC, PUCT and FERC compliance-related meetings.
Maintains compliance documentation and compliance procedures, auditing records, training records, and NERC/TRE/ERCOT/PUCT compliance records/submissions and reviews all compliance evidence.
Coordinates department expert compliance deliverables, manages compliance between the Responsible Managers, Authorized Signatories, Subject Matter Experts, Compliance Contributors and other responsible Parties to assure that STECs overall regulatory compliance is not compromised.
Negotiates with compliance-related entities.
Remains current on all compliance topics and relays information to other departments.
Develops periodic reports and maintains procedures, practices and policies related to compliance efforts.
Conducts periodic and internal reviews, audits, and spot checks to monitor compliance with specific NERC/TRE Reliability Standards and reports to Executive Management and proper enforcement entities.
Develops schedules and project plans for implementation of STEC Compliance Plan and NERC/TRE compliance monitoring.
Lends expertise, assistance, and support to STEC Distribution Members with NERC/TRE/ERCOT/PUCT
Reliability Standards compliance as applicable and as requested.
Leads monthly meetings on change, patch management, and CIP compliance.
Develops programs and plans to meet compliance requirements monthly. Implements cyber security
Control and assessments.
Performs other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Electrical Engineering preferred
3-5 years’ experience in compliance regulations or auditing preferred
Knowledge of FERC, NERC, TRE, PUCT and ERCOT rules and regulations
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Acceptable MVR, background check and pre-employment testing
