Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc., the 10^th largest electric cooperative in the nation, located in Keystone Heights, Florida, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Systems Analyst.  Clay Electric is located in north Florida, with easy access to beaches, outdoor activities and both college sports and NFL.

Individuals in positions allocated to this class perform advanced skilled maintenance and repair work on oil circuit reclosers (OCR's), electronic controls, voltage regulators, sectionalizers and other related equipment necessary to assure that reliable service is provided to our members.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Electrical Equipment Technician Supervisor or assigned Senior Field Electrical Equipment Technician who reviews the work on a daily basis through daily observation and periodic inspection to ensure that the employee is performing the duties and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.

Essential Job Functions

1. Performs Field and Shop Maintenance. Troubleshoots and repairs OCR's, electronic controls, sectionalizers, regulators, and other related equipment. Tests and programs sectionalizing devices, regulators and other related equipment to ensure proper operation.
2. Essential and Emergency Hotline Work. Performs all functions associated with line and substation hotline work, utilizing all safety precautions.
3. Operation of Equipment. Operates equipment such as derrick trucks, aerial lift trucks, articulating crane, forklifts and other equipment as required.  Complies with all traffic laws and related safety rules and safe work practices.  Keeps vehicle clean and orderly, noting repairs as needed.
4. Use and Care of Tools and Equipment. Is responsible for the use, care and security of tools, vehicles, equipment and materials utilized.
5. Maintains Records. Maintains the necessary records and periodic reports required for proper controls on the OCR, regulator, and equipment maintenance programs.

6. Safety. Practices safe work habits in the performance of all job duties and is familiar with and strictly adheres to those portions of the Cooperative Safety Manual that pertain to their job and work area.
7. Other Essential Duties. Each employee is responsible to perform other duties as required to benefit the Cooperative and its members, includes responding to and/or assisting in emergency situations.

Other Job Duties:

1. Completes paperwork associated with the job duties in a neat and timely manner.
2. Reports any hazards or damage to lines or equipment observed to the appropriate supervisor.
3. Assists in training of Apprentice Field Electrical Equipment Technician.

Minimum Training and Experience:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in the area of line work or specialized training for regulators and OCR’s.

This position also requires formal training consisting of the Clay Electric's Lineworker Development Training Program.

Completion of the curriculum requirements for an Apprentice Field Electrical Equipment Technician must be completed within three (3) years.

This position requires a valid State of Florida Class A commercial driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to use a laptop or tablet computer to read and understand Clay Electric’s mapping system, and to program sectionalizing devices, regulators and other related equipment.

Ability to safely work with materials such as Polychlorinated Biphenyl, solvents, paints, thinners and other chemicals.

This position requires after hours work due to work load and/or emergency situations.

Employees in this position shall comply with policy 110, “Residence Required in Districts and Operations Department.”
