We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a Student Law Clerk position in the Legal Department of our Executive Division in Springfield, Missouri. This is a paid position and offers employment during summer 2023. Normal working days are Monday through Friday.
This position will perform a wide range of legal tasks in assisting three in-house attorneys with regulatory and compliance matters, corporate governance, labor relations, and contract review and negotiation. Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled in a Juris Doctorate program with an accredited institution. Applicants should have a class ranking in the top half of their class; top one-third is preferred. Students with prior classroom/experience with law journal and/or moot court or trial team are preferred. The ideal student will have strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time-management skills, an ability to think critically, problem-solving and decision-making skills and an ability to read and understand complex legal documents.
