Position Summary: Coordinates material requirements and warehouse operations with Warehouse Supervisor
Essential Duties:
Follows all safety rules and procedures
Receives and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and merchandise. Sorts and conveys materials/items to designated areas for storage.
Records materials or items received or distributed. Maintains inventory records and assists with periodic and annual inventories.
Reviews and fills work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine materials to be moved or distributed
Prepares reports used to request and supplement orders for materials.
Responsible for custodial services and grounds work, including pole and transformer storage sites.
Tests security lights
Complies with Cooperative’s policies prohibiting harassment and discrimination. Complies with Cooperative’s Drug Free Workplace policy, and complies with all policies, safety rules and procedures; and immediately reports possible violations to department VP and VP of HR and Benefits
Attends safety meetings as required. Participates in other training to stay abreast of best practices
Performs other duties as assigned
Equipment Requirements (must be able to effectively use):
High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience, or Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree and 1 year related experience
Valid Commercial Driver’s License
Preferred:
Valid CPR/First-Aid/AED Certificate
Mechanically inclined and possess the ability to perform light vehicle, equipment, and landscape maintenance
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Ability to read and interpret general business forms and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with members or employees on the telephone or in person
Ability to perform functions used in basic and complex math
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to maintain professionalism and effectively perform in stressful environments, including emergencies, large outages, etc.
Ability to effectively and professionally perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Ability to exercise independent judgement within parameters of the Cooperative’s policies/procedures
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of highly sensitive information, both internally and externally
Physical Requirements (must be able to):
Use both hands and fingers; grip; twist; reach above the head; bend, stoop and twist ; and sit and stand for long periods of time; lift, carry, push and pull weights up to 75 lbs.
Working Conditions (must be able to):
Work eight hours per day, five days a week
Work overtime as needed, including weekends, nights and holidays
Works inside and outside and is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat
