A. To accept and carry out responsibilities of this position. B. To be familiar with Cooperative' s policies, rate schedules, rules and regulations; and have general knowledge of utility accounting and bookkeeping principles. C. To have thorough knowledge of and to promote, practice and assure adherence to all of Cooperative' s established policies, rules and regulations. D. To expedite all work assignments in orderly and efficient manner. E. To adequately inform Member Accounts Supervisor, at all times, relative to progress of work assignment. F. To have thorough knowledge of Cooperative' s ownership philosophy and principles.
II. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to Member Accounts Supervisor. Confers, reviews and discusses with Member Accounts Supervisor on all matters relative to fulfillment of this position.
III. RESPONSIBILITIES A. Assist with all functions of the billing department and to serve as backup to positions, as needed. Assisted functions to include:
1. Billing calculations and readings. 2. Processing payments and performing data entry. 3. Answering telephones and addressing customer inquiries. 4. Maintaining and balancing a cash drawer. 5. Applications for service and entering service orders. 6. Entering meter reads and reviewing customer usage. 7. Other duties, as assigned.
IV. JOB REQUIREMENTS A. Must maintain good customer service and teamwork skills for in-person and telephone transactions - working with employees to promote a positive working environment B. Multi-task, adapt to assigned responsibilities and working environment. C. Utilize a computer, calculator, telephone, and other office equipment. D. Climb stairs, ladders, and stoop to access files and records. E. Lift and carry supplies, files, mail, or other related items up to 35 pounds. F. Work under time pressure and meet deadlines. G. Maintain good finger dexterity, color vision, and hearing, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, and the capability to speak clearly. H. Travel, and as needed, minimal work at branch locations. I. Work overtime as needed.
