Provides oversight of the performance and operation of the Business Applications team, supervising a team of Application Analysts and Application Developers. Effectively manages staff assigned to IT and business originated projects, as well as contributes individually to projects.

Hiring Salary Range: $112,000-$140,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct supervision to the unit/function assigned, ensuring the performance of personnel, services, and technology.
Set direction and provide oversight of day-to-day operations; includes resource coverage, scheduling of daily work activities, and follow-up of escalated issues.
Mentor team members and assist in conflict resolution.
Provide on-call supervisory support as needed and participate in root-cause analysis.
Work with IT Leadership in identification of requirements and schedules.
Provide assistance to IT management in the preparation of the annual budget.
Work as an individual contributor on projects and/or support business as usual activities for the specific Information Technology unit/or service.
Assist in the training of other IT support personnel regarding process and technology.
Align with IT and corporate priorities to assist in the development and acquisition of new technologies.
Establish working relationships with others in the department, collaborating on new technology needs or expanded uses for existing technologies to increase functionality or efficiency.
Enhance internal and external relationships through interaction, participation, negotiation, cooperation, and teamwork.
Establish and maintain appropriate IT policies, procedures for program development, documentation, and testing.
Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training:
Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility.
Working knowledge of enterprise level computer systems, databases, networking, operating systems, requirements analysis techniques, and cyber security.
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written with ability to explain complex issues in clear, concise, persuasive language.
Eight (8) years of progressive related enterprise level Information Technology experience.
Eight (8) or more years in IT and business/industry
Five to seven years of leadership responsibilities, preferred
Experience managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
Willingness to travel as required. (Must possess a valid driver's license.)
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all of the essential functions of the position.
DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in an IT supervisory or lead role, desired.
Experience interacting with user community and/or IT stakeholders, desired.
Project management experience including use of related software tools, preferred.
