Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association is seeking a Member Service Representative who wants an exciting work atmosphere and to be a part of a team dedicated to safe, reliable, energy efficient solutions with exceptional service.
Supporting the Association’s mission, this position is the first point of contact and responsible for building and maintaining positive member relations by providing exceptional service to members in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
The Member Service Representative will work under the general direction of the Member Services Director and will perform all member service-related functions including responding to member inquiries relating to new accounts, billing, delinquent accounts for electrical services by providing members information, processing payments, and processing service orders.
Key Responsibilities
Addresses all inquiries in person, via telephone, and/or writing in a professional and courteous manner, referring to appropriate personnel/department when applicable.
Process daily remittances such as front counter payments, mail, drop box, lockbox and electronic payments applying to appropriate account; Responsible for processing daily bank draft, wire transfers, and ACH payments; required to balance a daily cash drawer and prepare a bank deposit when needed.
Initiates and processes all service order requests, including transfers of service, connects, disconnects, energizes, and other miscellaneous service order requests.
Resolves member service-related issues including but not limited to billing, memberships, connects, disconnects, reconnects, deposits, collections, and capital credit allocations and retirements, etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college or business school is preferred.
Two years’ customer service experience in consumer services/billing office is required. Electric Utility, especially Cooperative, experience is preferred. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience is preferred.
