The Board of Directors of Twin Valleys Public Power District in Cambridge, Nebraska seeks a proven leader with strong communication skills, who understands the importance of customer satisfaction with the demonstrated ability to manage and develop others to become the next General Manager due to an upcoming retirement.
Established in 1944, Twin Valleys Public Power District (TVPPD) provides the safe and efficient delivery of reliable and reasonably priced electricity and services to our customers. For nearly 80 years, the district has provided power to all or parts of six southwestern Nebraska counties which include Red Willow, Furnas, Harlan, Frontier, Gosper, and Phelps. TVPPD’s customers include communities and agricultural accounts for farms, irrigation, animal production and grain drying. Service excellence is foremost in all contacts and dealings with our customers.
TVPPD’s service territory covers 2,100 square miles in southwest and south-central Nebraska. With 23 dedicated, full-time employees, we are proud of our high reliability rate and affordable service while maintaining 2,300 miles of distribution power lines serving 6,644 meters. The district has a total utility plant of approximately $66 million and recent total operating revenue of $17 million. Reporting to a 7-member Board of Directors, the General Manager of TVPPD is responsible for carrying out the strategic vision of the district that is set by the Board of Directors.
TVPPD’s headquarters is located in Cambridge, Nebraska along U.S. Hwy 6 & 34 near the Republican River and Harry Strunk Lake. Cambridge has a population of approximately 1,000 people with an outstanding school system, hunting and fishing, top-notch health care facilities, a lively array of restaurants, stores and services, and an 18-hole golf course. The district is just four hours from Denver and Omaha.

Integrity and Courage: Makes decisions and acts consistently with values, professional standards, and the broader interests of the district
Community Engagement: Community involvement experience or willingness to be involved in the communities the district serves

Experience and Expertise:
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Education or Experience in Accounting & Finance, Engineering, or Business is preferred
At least five years of leadership experience is preferred
At least five years of electric utility operations experience is required
