Warehouse worker will receive, unload, inspect, store, stage, load, and ship materials as needed to support maintenance and construction projects. The incumbent is required to keep accurate records of inventory incoming, outgoing and bin movement. They will conduct annual inventories and quarterly cycle count inventories. Required to protect materials from both theft and deterioration. Will also support recycling and investment recovery activities.
Warehouse Worker II works under minimal supervision and may assist with orienting and training lower level employees.
Warehouse Worker III works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. May orient, train, assign and check the work of lower level employees. May be designated as "lead" worker.
Education: High school diploma or a GED
Experience: Warehouse Worker II, three (3) to five (5) years' experience; Warehouse Worker III, five (5) to seven (7) years' experience working in a warehouse.
Licenses and Certification: Driver's License is required; Forklift certification desired
Specialized Skills (e.g., typing, computers, software, tools and equipment uses, etc.): Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook skills; basic math is required, the ability to perform the basic life operational functions such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds required. The ability to communicate effectively orally and written is a must; ability to operate motorized material handling equipment. Lawson software experience desired.
