Process billing including review of account and meter information, completion of monthly sales tax reports, and any necessary adjustments
Communicate with members on basic and complex billing and capital credit items
Maintain billing software including monitoring and making changes to billing functions and rates
Process capital credit transactions including allocations, retirements and escheating of unclaimed property
Reconcile bank statements, daily cash reports, monthly sales reports and other reports as necessary
Process daily member payments
Supervision of certain daily processes.
Skills/Qualifications
Firm understanding of billing software (preferably NISC) and processes
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs
Understanding of electric cooperatives and how capital credits are generated
High attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication
Friendly and professional attitude
Ability to effectively multitask.
Education/Experience
Associates degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred and three to five years of experience in customer service
Five years of experience or more in billing and customer service as it relates to any electric utility may be considered in lieu of a degree.
