Pay range $21.426 to $26.091 per hour.

A Brief Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting all functions of the Human Resources department as well as the administration of company policies, procedures and programs. The role will also be accountable in areas such as staffing, onboarding, HRIS, apprenticeship program, workers compensation, and affirmative action plan updates.
What you will do:
Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines
Conduct recruitment effort, including the complete recruitment life cycle from postings, placing advertisement, sourcing, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the pre-employment testing
Monitor and track inital 30-day, 60-day, and six month performance evaluation for all newly hired, transferred, and/or promoted employees. Assist with annual employee performance review process
Maintain employee departmental listing, phone directory, and organizational chart
Update and maintain job descriptions for all current positions
Coordinate apprentice program, including new apprentice enrollment, on-the-job training hour tracking, classroom training and ensuring all apprentice files are up-to-date and in accordance with program standards
Responsible for managing internal and external FMCSA and DOT compliance reporting, assist in task related to DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance, manage driver qualifications of medical cards/physicals, CDL renewal, annual driving records, Clearinghouse queries, maintain driver records to include processing employment applications, DOT required documents, criminal background, and administer random drug screens
Ensure all personnel files are up-to-date and in accordance with regulatory standards
Facilitate and coordinate in planning and organizing employee engagement activities and communications
Compile reports and information for Affirmative Action Plan
Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including labor law postings, reporting, and required employee notifications

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent discipline, Required
Bachelor's Degree, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related disciplined., Preferred
1-3 years Human Resources, administrative, or related field experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

Ability to interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations

Knowledge at advanced level of the principles and practices of human resources management and employee and labor relations
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
